BUSINESS ACTIVITY
While the materials in our clothing and production account for the vast majority of our total emissions, there are also things we can consider in the other phases of the products' lifecycle to make sure we minimize our footprint.
Transport
The means of transport we choose to ship the products from the factories to our warehouse in Sweden are something we can influence, and where we can reduce our emissions by working in the right way. Products are primarily shipped by boat and by road, but some products are also transported by air, mainly because they have been delayed for various reasons. We are therefore working to improve our workflows to prevent delays in order-logging so that we can choose more environmentally friendly (but slower) modes of transport as far as possible. The goal is to reduce the share of air freight to below 2% by 2030.
Shipping
We can also influence the emissions generated by the shipping of products to our customers. We prioritize cooperation with shipping agents who share our vision of becoming fossil-free by 2030. Our goal is for all deliveries within the Nordic countries to be completely fossil-free by then. For destinations where this is not possible, such as where shipping needs to be done by air due to long distances, we require shipping agents to have a clear and stable sustainability strategy. They need to be able to show significant reductions in their emissions per tonne-kilometer by 2030 for us to continue our cooperation. By working with like-minded partners, we are pushing the transition towards a more sustainable transport sector.
Returns
We want you to be completely satisfied with the product or products you buy from us. Of course, you have the right to cancel your purchase and then we will charge 49 SEK in return costs. By charging a return fee, we want to encourage awareness among our customers. Research shows that when customers know they will be charged a fee to return goods, they are less likely to make impulse purchases or buy items they are unsure about. This can lead to fewer goods being sent back and forth, reducing the carbon footprint of transport and packaging. All returns that come back to our warehouse are checked. In the vast majority of cases the returned garment can be put back on the shelf immediately, but some garments have stains or odors that make it impossible to resell them. These garments are either passed on to a partner who restores them to their original condition and then resells them, or to textile recycling where they are sorted by fiber type and color.
Packaging
We use recycled materials in our packaging to promote circular flows and limit the use of virgin resources. The bags that the garments come in are made of 100% recycled plastic. All hangtags are made from 100% recycled paper and the e-commerce bags are made from sustainable biomaterials that are completely free of PFAS and microplastics, making them biodegradable. Once you have received your package, it is important to recycle the package again so that it can become new packaging!
