Viscose

We use viscose (or rayon as it is also called), and other regenerated fibers, in leisurewear and loose-fit gym clothes collections. There are many regenerated fibers such as lyocell, modal and viscose, which are all made from natural raw materials, most commonly cellulose from wood or other plant materials, which undergo a chemical process to transform them into a spinnable fiber. These fibers combine properties from natural and synthetic materials, making them soft and flexible.

The production of viscose can be environmentally problematic due to chemical-intensive processes, risk of deforestation and high resource consumption, if it is not manufactured using sustainable methods and certified raw materials. That is why we are committed to using only LENZING™ ECOVERO™, or other preferred alternatives to viscose such asOnceMore®, by 2030.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™

The fibers are made from verified or certified wood sources and meet FSC® or PEFC standards. They are manufactured with at least 50 percent less carbon dioxide emissions and water consumption compared to conventional viscose, making them a better alternative.
